Therapeutic approach
My work is based on depth-psychologically based psychotherapy, a scientifically recognized, effective method for treating mental problems.
This approach assumes that current psychological problems are often related to unconscious inner conflicts, relationship experiences, and biographical influences.
In the therapeutic process, I support you in the following:
-
To better understand internal connections
-
Recognizing recurring patterns in relationships and experiences,
-
To perceive and process emotional processes more consciously, and to develop new courses of action.
Treatment takes place through therapeutic dialogue and is supplemented – depending on the issue – by imaginative and symbol-oriented methods, particularly from Katathymic-Imaginative Psychotherapy (KIP) and Wollschläger's Symbol Therapy. The goal is to strengthen your self-understanding, gain greater emotional stability, and find effective, long-term solutions for difficult situations. Central to this approach are a trusting therapeutic relationship, a respectful working process, and a focus on your individual resources and goals.
Treatment spectrum
I can support you with the following mental disorders and impairments:
Stress-related complaints/burnout
Depressive disorders
Anxieties and phobias
Obsessive-compulsive disorder and eating disorders (e.g., anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating)
Psychosomatic complaints (including complaints during menopause)
Crisis management (e.g., expat situations, experiences of loss through death and separations)
Coping with illness (e.g., in the case of cancer)
Trauma/Post-traumatic stress disorder
Workplace conflicts or work-related stress
Self-esteem problems
Sleep disorders/nightmares
ADHD testing
Psychological counselling
Psychological counselling can also be useful even if there is no illness requiring treatment, but rather a desire for orientation, development or change.
Based on depth psychology, I support you in reflecting on inner dynamics and recurring patterns, gaining new perspectives and developing viable solutions for your personal or professional situation.

Couples counselling/couples therapy
I support couples during challenging phases of life, acute crises, conflicts, or times of change.
If couples therapy is indicated, I usually work together with an experienced colleague. Two therapists offer the couple a clear and balanced framework that supports their shared process. Couples therapy creates a safe space in which relationship patterns become visible, communication can be reshaped, and joint solutions can be developed.
